Welcome to the home of Team Cougar "Racing Spirit" the factory race team operated by Cougar RED.
We are unlike any other motorcycle race team, our approach to racing is an innovative one, linking clever ideas and new technology which allows us to push boundaries and excel in the sport.
Our team is leading the way by racing with ground breaking two-stroke engine innovation. Our bikes are fitted with Cougar RED engines, designed and manufactured in the UK by Cougar RED. The engines are the result of several years research and development by the company to be first to design and manufacture a two-stroke competition engine that operates on a fully sustainable fuel, Bio-ethanol.
Cougar RED realised there was a need for such an engine with traditional two-strokes having a reputation for high levels of toxins in the exhaust.
They also envisaged alternative fuels becoming increasing important as fossil fuels continue to deplete at an alarming rate, change is inevitable...
The sport also provides a platform for demonstrating the technology to wide audiences and changing perceptions to embrace new ways of thinking and sustainability of the sport.
Team Cougar “Racing Spirit”comprises of experienced individuals, we all bring unique skills to the team, be it mechanical or engineering through to project management. Together the team is a formidable force, highly motivated and passionate about the sport and committed to delivering the very best.
Being a manufacturer backed team, we benefit from Cougar RED's expertise,they can respond to team needs quickly and turn ideas rapidly into reality. The world doesn't stand still, so we don't either, we are continually looking at how we can improve team performance with on going development.
