 Oil Air Cooler '04 - '07 Models '04 - '07 Models The cooler eliminates overheating in highly tuned race engines, by removing the oil cooling from the water cooling system. No need for expensive race radiators. The independent systems work more efficiently, reducing engine temperatures by approximately 20 deg C. Reducing the temperature of the oil also helps to maintain it's properties giving improved protection for the engine. Another benefit has been seen in Dyno testing. Bikes normally overheat after 15 - 20 minutes, but use of the cooler allows a tank full of fuel to be run uninterrupted. This was a finding of PR Branson Honda British Superbike Team, who won the privateers cup 2006. The cooler can actually pay for itself very quickly in these circumstances. Fitting is quite simple and the cooler has been designed to give adequate clearance for all available exhaust systems. A connecting tube is supplied to link the original water pipes.
