A little about us...

cougar RED Directors Mark Taylor and Paul Copperwheat formed Cougar Red (Race Engineering Developments) Ltd. in 2004, originally specialising in precision engineering for many motorsport companies and building a reputation based on over 40 years of experience in engineering for motorsport companies, producing parts for Formula One, WRC and MotoGP.

Using their skills and industry knowledge Mark and Paul have seen consistent year on year growth from the small company that they began with in 2004, to 2009 where the company currently works in 3 separate areas.

The specialist contract manufacturing is still embraced as the platform from where their reputation was built from, along with this they design and manufacture cougar engine components for racing bikes showing the strength of knowledge and skill within the company, these are currently being used by various teams in the British Superbike Championship.

In 2009 the seeds are starting to be sown for the third core part of Cougar RED strategic business plan, the manufacture of the worlds first ethanol powered 2 stroke race bike. The Managing Directors, Paul and Mark lead a team to design and race the bike, which can be currently seen racing in the 2009 Thundersport 125GP race series.

With many more developments to come this promises to be a year of huge potential, carrying this exciting and innovative company forward at an ever accelerating level of speed.
