In the 2008
season Cougar RED have provided Repli-cast UK racing and Chris Palmer
with our billet crankcases. The engine is performing well and is very competitive.
Chris won both his races first time out at Scarborough, came second at
the NW200, and won the
Ultra light Isle of Man TT.
With these results we feel its time to move on with
our own team, as well as continuing to support Repli-cast and Chris.
“Team
Cougar” will be looking after the racing interests of Cougar RED Ltd.
The team is exciting, dynamic, forward thinking and focused on winning
races and promoting clean two-stroke engine technology nationally and
internationally.
Riders
for 2009 are being trailed and will be signed over the coming months.
There are a number of talented riders looking to secure their place in
the team. All are passionate to win and keen to make a name for
themselves on the international racing scene.
Team Cougar has highly competitive bikes and whichever riders are
signed, they will have to possess the talent and skills required to
fully exploit the bikes winning potential during the 2009 CEV Spanish
125 GP championship, a lively series which is both challenging and
entertaining pushing rider and machine to the limit...
Engine
development is continuing, ready for the 2009 season.
We will also be running with our own chassis, so will be
entered as a UK manufacturer.
Have a look at the ongoing project.
